As I reflect on the great year Symmetrics had in 2006, I can’t help but think about our many customers and partners who play a huge role in any success we enjoy. We would like to say thank-you for the part you have played in our achievements this year.

One of Symmetrics’ core values is giving back to the community in productive and meaningful ways. This value, very much engrained as a part of our company culture, finds its roots in our creation and sponsorship of Symmetrics Cycling. The team was founded not only to develop young riders and future Olympians, but also to raise money for our local community. In the first year alone, we raised over $50,000 for BC Special Olympics. Most recently, the team participated in the BC Power Smart Live Powered Billboard charity program for local Food Banks, where riders helped power a special holiday billboard using human energy (via a bicycle naturally!) to light 1,500 LED lights.

So this year, instead of spending money to send gifts or cards to the people we value, we have chosen to take that money and donate it on behalf of our employees, customers and partners to the Canadian Cancer Society.  Some of Symmetrics' employees have had family members affected by cancer, so this charity holds a special importance to us.
